Continuing from where I left off in my last rant we were going over the different divisions of this fanbase made of broken glass and string that doesn't help at holding it together. So with out interruption let's continue...

Shippings/couple pairings

When the dawn of abundant characters (some are good others.....meh) hits your franchise expect most of the fans to create little relationships between two characters. This is fine to me I don't really mind you have Sonic, Shadow, Tails, etc hooking up with a female character in the series. But, it's when those same fans ( usually fangirls...and even boys) write it off as canon and look at the pair as if they were meant to be is when I get a little  peeved. I even don't mind the homosexual relationships people make ( even though I'm straight myself) but, the same thing happens some people actually think or want it to be canon. When the pot boils down all you'll see is a random person takes two sonic characters who don't have anything remotely in common with each other (VectorXVinalla, we only got hints that he has a crush on her but, it goes nowhere and was only glanced upon in Sonic X...perfect relationship people), Barely have any chemistry and interact very little (Sonaze, they show no romantic interaction and barely talk to each other unless the time is necessary i.e Sonic Rush/Adventure), or do a complete ying yang and inverse their in game interactions into praise and SONAMY is the perfect example, this was lamp shaded in Sonic CD because of her debut but, later on it got annoying I know some people hate it when we jump down Amy's throat saying she deserves more credibility but the bitch needs it to be said. Just because you smother Sonic with unneeded affection and stalk him does mean he like you. He shows little to no interest in you which is painfully obvious.

Archie Sonic (oh damn.....)

Sonic is popular even till this day (....I'm as surprised as you are) so it was only inevitable for him to get his own spin off merchandise. Toys, books, comics, etc were hitting the shelves in the 90s and everyone jumped on that Sonic craze. But, soon everything started to die down and what was left were the games hell, even Sega drooped out of the Console war because Sony gave them a mighty, MIGHTY ball bust with the PlayStation (which I love since it was my first owned game console). But did everything totally die down.....well not quiet because to everyone's curiosity the comics were still selling as much as the games (even today). Now I won't be touching the other comics because I started reading the Archie Comics in my 5th grade year so I didn't know about the others until later. Anyways to me the Archie Comic Sonic was about as good as it gets a gripping story, lovable characters and above all a good portrayal of our speedy blue hedgehog. I thought it was perfect and everybody liked it.....until I found the internet. People go apeshit over this EVERY TIME IT'S BOUGHT UP...(in certain  places). I could make and entire rant which I did but, I don't think I spread this far enough.

So join me in part 4 where I flesh out the Archie Sonic situation.

The Archie comics are also good; they expand Sonic's world a lot more than the games.
